This and That

I went to the doctor this morning and everything was good. Appointments are every 2 weeks now so it finally seems like I'm getting closer to the due date. Only 51 days to go.

As we do every appointment, the nurse comes in and lets me hear the heartbeat...today, Brooklyn started getting really active when we were listening. The nurse said she must be getting excited about hearing her heartbeat. Who knows, but it sounds good to me.

Jeremy, family, and some friends from church have been working on our roof since Friday. I know they're worn out. Jeremy got up and was out working by 7:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday. They decided to sleep in a little and get started at 8:00 AM today. I know he'll be SO glad when it's over...and we'll have a new roof that doesn't leak!!! I'm thankful for his hard work and determination to get it done without having to pay someone to do it, he's saved us alot of money.

I think that I'm done with Brooklyn's room other than hanging a few frames. I have been meaning to take some better pictures of her room since I've straightened things up a little, and hung up her curtains...but I don't ever remember to do that so until I get some better ones, here is a picture of her room.

We decided not to go too girly with the bedding so we found this really cute sage, brown, and cream bedding that we both absolutely loved.

The dresser is one that Jeremy's parents bought at the auction in Dayton. We thought that the inside of it was so pretty that we just took the doors off of it and left the rest as it was. It goes in the room really good.

My mom came by one Saturday to help me out with repainting the changing table since it was still blue from when Parker used it. We got it sanded without Parker having any interest in it, but as soon as we got the paint out, he wouldn't leave my side. I decided to let him help out, he started getting a little wild so by the time we were doing the top coat, we moved him to the back of the changing table to paint. He was fine with that.

He's definitely my little helper. I can't believe he's going to be 3 in a couple of weeks. I love to watch him grow and his personality and imagination develop but it seems to be going by too quickly. :)

Here are some pictures of us that Lisa took. She was nice enough to email me a few. I'll post more when I get them. Thanks for the pictures Lisa, I love them. You did a great job.

Here We Go

Well, Jessica finally talked me into blogging. With me quitting work in a few months to be a stay at home mom, and having 2 kids to tend to I wasn't sure how much time I would have to keep up with everyone that I email and chat with now in my free time at work. So...thanks Jess for convincing me to finally start a blog.

The countdown has begun...only 29 more days of work, if I make it that long. :) I'm pretty excited to be able to stay at home after this pregnancy. I wasn't able to financially after Parker and I guess it was my first day back to work after my maternity leave that I realized that I really wanted to be at home watching Parker (and future kids) grow up.

Now God has blessed Jeremy with a great job working for a wonderful Christian couple, Mr. Sidney and Mrs. Laura Shaw. The company has grown alot in the short time he's been there and God has provided, through this job, an opportunity for me to stay home while Jeremy gets to work for people he enjoys being with at a job that he really likes and is good at!

I'll have some maternity pictures to post in the next week or two. Lisa, a good friend of mine from childhood, and I recently got back in touch with each other and she does photography so we benefitted from the fact that she needed more maternity pictures for her portfolio. We had a good time catching up and being able to get some good family pictures. For now...here's the most recent picture that I have of our family. It's from almost a year ago.
