Playing Outside

I took the kids outside yesterday for a little bit and got some cute pictures I wanted to share.

Parker has a new word he uses now...rudified...but the meaning of it changes daily. At least when he uses the word he tells me what it means. Today rudified means something good or something bad. His example...like when you are playing basketball and have to take a break. He makes me laugh. He is always coming up with a new word and is pretty creative with it. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

The Latest & Greatest

Parker is always my little helper. Sometimes helper isn't really the right word for it, but he tries. We decided to go outside today while Brooklyn was asleep. It was a beautiful, sunny, cool day so we were going to find something to do outside...and try not to get too muddy. I got out the rake to get the leaves out of my flowerbed and Parker decided he wanted the "tweezers" (pruning scissors) to help me trim the bushes. Of course he wants to trim everything so I have to keep an eye on him. He trimmed a little and then played in the leaves that I raked up. I tried getting a picture of him jumping in them or kicking them but I snapped the picture at the wrong time in every picture. Oh well. He's at a good age where I can go outside with him and don't have to keep my eye on him the whole time. He knows not to get in the ditch with the water or get in the street...plus he's typically so noisy that I know right where he is.

Brooklyn has started taking steps. She's not really officially walking yet because 95% of the time she's crawling. For almost a week now there will be a couple of times a day where she'll stand up and take some steps. She's very careful with it. Yesterday she got up, took a few steps, stopped to catch her balance and took a few more steps. I think so far she's taken 5 steps in a row before plopping down. She looks way too little to be doing that already. Parker was walking at 10 months, I think she'll be earlier than he was. She's 8 months now and is catching on really fast. I haven't caught it on video yet but as soon as I do, I'll post it.

A couple of weeks ago we went to the mall and got Brooklyn's ears pierced. Jeremy had to hold her body and her head so she didn't wiggle while the lady was doing the piercing. It tramatized Jeremy almost as much as it did Brooklyn...well, maybe more. Once we were out of the store she was just fine, no more crying. Jeremy still wishes we would have waited to do it. It is so hard to clean her ears because she's so interested in what I'm doing that she won't keep her head still. She wants to grab the cotton ball. Silly girl!

Parker got a recorder for Christmas from my mom and lately it has been one of Brooklyn's favorite toys. She's so musically talented. :) Here's a video of her playing...

Well, that's all of the news that I can think of. Hope that everyone has a great weekend.

Playing Together

Here's a cute video of the kids playing together. Parker has Brooklyn cracking up...you'll have to turn the music off to hear them. (down at the bottom)

Funny Parker Sayings

Parker has been saying the funniest stuff lately, I had to blog some before I forget them.

I lay in his bed for a few minutes most nights to help him get to sleep. For some reason we got onto the subject of last names. I was trying to explain to him that Jeremy's nana's last name is Parker and that is why we named him Parker. He said to me...momma let's don't talk, I'm getting bored. So funny.

I told Parker a few days ago that it was time to go to bed, he looked over at me with this sad face and says but that's not a very good idea.

Parker has been getting a little sassy lately thinking that he can tell us what to do so he's been getting in trouble. So today, he told me that he was ready to be big so he could tell me what to do.

He's really into asking random questions. Here are some he asked me earlier...
-How does a mirror move if it's not real?
-How does Tom (Tom & Jerry) move if he has no legs?

He's getting so big, 3 1/2 years have just flown by. Last week he started taking a shower instead of a bath, which is really nice because he's not in there forever. I have been teaching him how to wipe himself...now he can stay with uncle Gene. :) ...gross subject, I know...moving right along.

Well, I'm shutting down for the night. Jeremy and I are about to work out...and crash! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Newest Milestones

I finally got my pictures loaded from my camera to my computer so I could post some new ones of the kids.

Brooklyn is getting so big. She's almost 7 1/2 months old now and she tries so hard to keep up with Parker. She's been sitting up and crawling for awhile now. Now she loves to pull up on stuff which means she's into EVERYTHING!! She can even stand up without holding onto anything, but she's not too interested in taking steps yet. She's catching on though. This morning I got her to take a few steps while she was holding onto my fingers.

She's such a happy baby, I just love being home with her and Parker. I missed alot of what Parker did at the age Brooklyn is now. I feel so blessed that I get to stay home with them and enjoy this time, they grow up so fast.

Parker is now into playing computer games and the Wii. He catches on so fast to that type stuff. He actually fixed one of the Wii remotes not too long ago. I was fussing at him for messing with buttons and then I realized that he fixed it...thanks Parker. :) He knows more about the Wii than I do...and he's only 3 1/2.

I finally got a picture of Brooklyn's two little teeth on the bottom. They're so cute....but sharp. She's bitten me a few times. She's so mischieveous though, she lookes at me, smiles and chomps down...stinker. You'll have to click on the picture to enlarge it to see her little teeth.

Mom and I are going to go to Georgia during spring break. Jeremy is going with the church on a ski trip so mom and I are going with the kids to Georgia. Thank goodness for GPS! It'll be the first time I've driven there without Jeremy...well, it's really only the second time we've driven there. Every time, except for our first trip, we have flown. I think that we'll probably break the trip up and stay 1 night with Jeremy's nana in Mississippi.

Well, I guess that I better wrap this up because Parker keeps asking if it's his turn to be on the computer. Hope that everyone has a great week. Here are a few more pictures of the kiddos.
