Our Sweet Little Girl

Lisa (http://www.lisayoungblood.com/) took these pictures of Brooklyn when she was three weeks old I think. She did really great on them, we absolutely loved them. Brooklyn didn't cooperate too well for the sleeping pictures so she was awake in most of them.

I finally caught Brooklyn smiling. Jeremy ran through his vast assortment of random noises he makes and found out that if he makes an owl sound she smiles. Jeremy makes me laugh!!

This is the affect that Jeremy and Brooklyn have on each other :) They're so cute!!

Brooklyn in her bathing suit. She was not happy with me for putting it on her. She got even more mad when I dipped her feet in the pool...so no picture of her in the water just yet, but I got my mom to take one of us by the pool.

Parker the Entertainer

I had to post this video that I took last night because Parker was cracking me up. Brooklyn was crying so he started singing her a song to cheer her up. (You can pause the music at the bottom of the page so you can hear Parker's wonderful song)

Brooklyn has finally figured out her bouncy seat. I can put her in it and it keeps her entertained for about 10 minutes. She smiles at the animals hanging down. Now that she's learned to kick and make the animals move, she is more entertained by the bouncy seat. I kept trying to get a video of her smiling at the animals, but by the time I got over there and had the camera on, she would only give a grin.

A Good Visit

Amy, Craig and their boys came from Georgia last week for a visit and we had a great time with them. It was so good to see them. My mom and I were in Georgia in March with Parker to see Paxton after he was born, but it seemed like it had been longer than that since we'd seen them.

They were here from Friday until Tuesday morning. Parker was excited to see his cousins again, they all played well together. My brother and Grandmother came down also. Gene could only stay until Sunday morning but Grandmom left Tuesday morning. Here are some pictures.

I'm Back

Finally after a month, I am getting the blog updated. Alot has gone on in a month. Our internet has been giving us problems, we got that fixed and then the computer had a meltdown so I think that we're finally back in business.

Well, obviously Brooklyn is here now. She was 11 pounds 6 ounces...the doctor's prediction was between 8 and 9 pounds. He miscalculated that by a few pounds. She was the hospital attraction during our stay there. Every shift change there were new nurses coming in to see the big baby. She was a record there for the biggest natural delivery. Anyway, she's a good baby. So sweet, loves to cuddle, loves attention, sleeps good.

SO, our baby girl was healthy...that was an answered prayer.

We are enjoying her so much. Parker is SO cute with her. Anytime she cries he asks if she's crying because she needs her big brother. He loves to hold her, but when she cries he tells me that she's crying for momma....I wonder where he got that from...Jeremy Spell. :)

Another big event that happened in the last month was that Jessica came down with Jody and Haylee. We had so much fun with them, we really enjoyed their visit. It was our first time to meet Jody and Haylee. They are such a cute little family! Their visit went by way too quickly, I was so sad to see them go...but hopefully we'll get to visit them early next year...that's the plan anyway. I hope that it all works out.

We celebrated the 4th of July at the Brown's house. It's a churchwide thing so we try to go every year. Parker really enjoyed it, Brooklyn slept the whole time. Mom made her a cute hair bow to go with her patriotic outfit that Heather passed down to us.

Amy, Craig, and the boys are coming down this weekend and we're pretty excited about that!! Grandmom and Gene are going to come down too, it'll be fun having so much family together.

Well, I'll have some more pictures of Brooklyn soon. Lisa just took some on Saturday and the ones that she showed me were so cute!! I guess that is about it. Hopefully I'll be able to get online more and update the blog now that we're kind of in the swing of things.
