Getting A Little Behind

Alot has gone on since the last time that I wrote and I feel like I'm getting a little behind.

The weekend before last was fun with the baby showers and Parker's birthday. We went to the Park for his birthday and he had so much fun! It was great having my brother and grandmother down for the weekend! Grandmom got to stay with us and Parker really got attached to her over the few days that she was here. It was cute.

Jeremy's nana is still down. She came down for Parker's birthday and made it an extended visit. She was able to stay with us Saturday and Sunday night, and we've really enjoyed her being here. We celebrate Mother's Day and Nana's birthday at Jeremy's parents house tonight and I think that they pack up to leave tomorrow. Jeremy's parents are taking her back to Mississippi and then heading to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a long weekend with just her, the kids and their spouses.

The countdown until Brooklyn's due date is just 30 more days. I'm getting very anxious. We went and did a tour of the hospital on Saturday so we would know where to go when we got there. The nurse that was showing us around was very friendly. She asked me the due date, I told her June 11, she looked at my belly and smiled. She said I think we'll see you before then. So, because Brooklyn has already dropped and is in position the nurse thinks that she'll make an early appearance...works for me!! I'm 36 weeks now so she's fully developed and is just chillin' in there putting on more weight. Sorry Angel, looks like you're going to be a little off with your July 8th prediction...that's just a shame!! :)

Jeremy keeps reminding me that I need to pack my bag so he can put it in the back of the Tahoe and we'll be ready for our hospital stay. It makes me laugh because he's a procrastinator but I think that I'm worrying him a little bit. He doesn't want another repeat of when he was running around the house like crazy the day before I had Parker. I thought that I had a week before Parker was born, but he came early. Jeremy was trying to get everything checked off of my to-do list before we headed to the hospital. So...I started packing my bag last night and this morning and just have to get a few things from the store to pack in there and I'll be good to go. That will be one less worry for Jeremy. I have Brooklyn's stuff in her bed, just need to check my list and see if there's anything else I need and put it in a bag and we'll be all set for her too. WOW...I feel like I'm ahead of the game! Now, as long as she at least waits until the weekend for me to finish packing up, we really will be all ready for her arrival...I'm ready for her to come any time after this weekend!

Jeremy and I went to Walmart on Saturday, after touring the hospital, to use our gift cards from the shower. We got almost everything that we needed for Brooklyn at the shower, so we wanted to go ahead and get as many diapers as we could so we won't have to buy them for several months after she's born, so we filled up the shopping cart. We got some of the craziest looks and had people making comments like, looks like someone is stocking up on diapers and people asking, how many kids (or I think it was chir'n) we have and stuff like that.

I had a good Mother's Day. Jeremy made us home made, from scratch, blueberry and strawberry pancakes. They were both SO good. We were bragging on him all day about those!! We'll have to get him to do that more often. :) Brooklyn and her daddy "bonded" during the church service. She was going crazy with her wiggling and Jeremy would press on my belly when she'd slow down and it would get her all stirred up again. He said that they were bonding. I'll be glad when I don't feel beat up after they've bonded!

We headed to my parents house about 3:00 and celebrated Mother's Day with her. My dad grilled for supper around 6:00 and we just ate and hung out. It was nice. We picked nana up from Jeremy's parents and went back to the house and played the Wii and Parker's new favorite game...Let's Go Fishing. I think that he could play that all day. Nana probably got tired of it since she was the only one that Parker wanted playing with her.

Here is a picture of Parker in Brooklyn's crib. He loves to climb in there and turn on the mobile. He told me that he wanted to take a nap in there so I went and got his pillow and covered him up with one of the blankets in the crib. He closed his eyes really tight for about 10 seconds, long enough for the picture, opened them up and said that he felt rested and his nap was over. Last week he climbed in her bed and curled up in the corner. He told me that is where he's going to sleep when baby sister is born. I think that he'll be a really good big brother. He loves being a helper.

Well, I guess that is probably all that has happened since I wrote anything last.
